First tickets for Romania’s Sibiu International Theater Festival go on sale

The first tickets for the 2019 edition of Sibiu International Theater Festival (FITS) have been put on sale. Other tickets will be put on sale on April 18 and May 14.

This year’s edition of the event takes place between June 14 and June 23. The theme of the 2019 run is “The Art of Giving.”

Some 540 events are scheduled for the ten-day festival, where 3,300 artists coming from 73 countries are expected to attend.

The program includes performances such as Venezuela by Batsheva Dance Company; Session, a collaboration between choreographers Colin Dunne and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui; The Lady of the Camellias by Li Yaxian, Chongqing Chuanju Theatre; One, One & One by Vertigo Dance Company; Lev Dodin’s Hamlet, Maly Drama Theater -Theater of Europe; Joy by Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione & Pippo Delbono Company; K. Tempest of the Matsumoto Performing Arts Centre; and State of Siege by Théâtre de la Ville.
