Romania’s car production reaches 2009 level after ten months

Romania’s car output exceeded 290,000 units in the first ten months of 2010, close to the level registered in 2009, when the local car output reached 296,00 units, according to data from the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association (APIA).

Automobile Dacia produced 97.4 percent of the total cars made in Romania, with the Sandero model (in picture) holding the highest share, almost half of local car production (123,199 units), followed by the Duster, with 60,568 units, the Logan (45,371 units) and the Logan MCV (39,021 units). Ford contributed to the local car production with 7,436 units.
