Romanian synthetic diamonds producer to open Bucharest amusement park in September

17 August 2011

Starting this fall, Bucharest will have its own amusement park, Terra Park, built with a total investment of EUR 25 million. The project is being developed by Rami Dacia, a private Romanian company that produces synthetic diamonds. The park will be located in Bucharest’s District 6, on Timisoara Blvd, on the premises of the former Rami Dacia factory. It will have an area of 30,000 sqm, and should be opened in September this year. The amusement park will include 30 attractions and 500 parking spaces. Rami Dacia will relocate the synthetic diamonds production capacity to the outskirts of Bucharest.

Among the attractions in the future amusement, there will be a Z Force Tower platform which rises to a height of 53 meters and goes down at high speed, a 310 meters rollercoaster, and  a water slide with boats.

“"Terra Park is an ongoing project. We plan a second phase of the park's development, to offer new facilities to visitors”, said Eric Eberhart, general manager of Terra Park. The park’s representatives expect to have 600,000 visitors in the first year.
