This week we chose rather a special song for our ‘Song of the week’ series. The tune is called ‘Silence’ and it is performed by Lucia, a newly launched Romanian artist. What makes 'Silence' different is that it's the first song recorded by the 17-year old artist, who has already achieved huge success on the internet. Her song reached almost 58,000 views in 11 days on Youtube and got air-play from one of the most listened to Romanian radio stations.

Lucia Maria Popescu plays the piano and has a powerful, clear and expressive voice, which could help her achieve international fame, especially since this first song is in English. Certainly an artist to keep an eye on, as this first piece promises to break some records and shows there could be more where this came from.
