Romanian song of the day: Moonlight Breakfast – My Baby
Moonlight Breakfast is one of the Romanian bands with great success abroad, their music being a mix of soul, electro, beat, nu-jazz and swing. Their story began in 2011 with a big live concert: the opening act at the Jamiroquai concert in Mamaia, where they played in front of a crowd of 35.000 people. And they had exactly five rehearsals before their first concert.
Although they are now based in Vienna, according to the band’s Facebook page, the Moonlight Breakfast members met in Bucharest. They are Bazooka (producer, plays drums, keys, clarinet), Christie (vocals, sampler), and Adita (Adita - keys, guitar, sampler).
My Baby, written by Bazooka and Christie, is just one of their most-well known songs. It has a rather motivational message, talking about the power to move on even if you’ve been hurt.
