The Romanian market for dental equipments could return this year to the 2008 level of EUR 40 million, after the drops in 2009 and 2010, according to Cristina Dragusanu, country manager KaVo Romania. In 2009, the dental equipments and consumables market fell to EUR 35 million, and in 2010 to about EUR 30 million. KaVo has recently entered the Romanian market through a strategic partnership with Radius Medical, that became KaVo's authorized importer and distributor in the country.

“We felt that now is the right time to invest on the Romanian market, beeing the first manufacturer of dental equipments to open its own office and showroom in Romania”, said Cristina Dragusan.

KaVo Dental GmbH is a producer of devices and technological equipments, headquartered in Biberach, Germany. The company has over 3,300 employees in six production sites, and 21 representative companies worldwide.
