Romanian band Grimus named among best bands in Central and Eastern Europe, will play Eurosonic festival
Romanian alternative rock band Grimus were selected, after a full year of concerts outside the country, among the best bands in Central and Eastern Europe, and invited to play at the Eurosonic music festival in January 2013.
With two launched albums Panikon (2008 ) and Egretta (2011 ), this year they became an important name on the alternative music scene in Romania, playing at B’Est Fest and opening big concerts for bands like Placebo, Roxette and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Internationally, Grimus were the only local band that performed at festivals like Sziget (Hungary), Exit (Serbia) and Rock for People (Czech Republic).
Grimus are preparing to launch their third album next spring, again produced in partnership with Adam Whittaker, who was also the producer for Egretta.
Eurosonic is the leading platform of live music in Europe, an event in which artists from the continent, the European music industry people, companies and organizations meet to see some of the best live acts of the moment.
