Open Your Eyes with German band Guano Apes in Romania this summer

The alternative rock band Guano Apes will perform in Romania on August 25, at the Tuborg Green Fest Peninsula event in Targu Mures. The band performed before in Romania in 2009, in Bucharest.

The Guano Apes band was formed in 1994 in Gottingen, Germany, by guitarist Henning Rumenapp, bassist Stefan Ude and drummer Dennis Poschwatta. Lead singer Sandra Nasic joined the band later in the same year. The band's career took off in 1996 after they won a contest for local unsigned bands with their song "Open Your Eyes". The song was also their first and most successful single, followed by the release of their 1997 debut album “Proud Like a God”. In 2000 Guano Apes released their second full-length album, “Don't Give Me Names”.

The band broke up after the release of their best of album “Planet of the Apes” and a final tour in February 2005, and got reunited in 2009. Read more about the band here.

Tickets for the Tuborg Green Fest Peninsula event can be purchased from Germanos, Vodafone and Orange stores, Humanitas bookshops, or online from www.eventim.ro. The price of a subscription purchased until August 24 is RON 199 and RON 240 if you buy it from the entrance.
