Michelin Green Guide lists tourist attractions in Romania

The second edition of the Michelin Green Guide dedicated to Romania, launched eight years after the first edition, lists the best tourist attractions in Romania, including new locations such as the Turda Salt Mine and the Retezat National Park, local Libertatea.ro reported.

“The second edition brings a large number of new locations, including: Maramures, which offers two new objectives that have been awarded the 3 stars, Marei Valley and Maramuresului Valley, the Retezat National Park, which has received 2 stars, the Porolissum site, which got 2 stars, from one star in the first edition, Ulpia Traiana, which received 2 stars, and the Turda Salt Mine and the Bigar Waterfall, both newly entered in the guide, each with 2 stars,” Michelin representatives said.

The three-star tourist destinations in Romania according to the Michelin travel guide are the painted monasteries in Bucovina, Transfagarasan, Danube Delta, the fortified church in Prejmer, Sibiu, Hurez Monastery, and the Maramures Valleys.

The second edition of the Michelin Green Guide dedicated to Romania is split into three sections, namely Discover Romania – which takes travelers through seven regions of Romania (starting from Bucharest and going north to Transylvania and Bucovina), Understanding Romania and Planning the trip.
