ING Bank grows gross profit to EUR 15.5 mln in Romania after first six months

ING Bank grew its gross profit by 8 percent in the first six months of the year in Romania, to some EUR 15.5 million, according the recenly - published, unaudited results. “The result was marked by the reduction of the cost with risk provisions, as the risk profile of the loans portfolio improved, as well as by the increase in revenues from operations with clients,” according to the bank.

ING Bank Romania's loans portfolio reached EUR 2 billion, a growth of 7 percent. Loans to individuals grew more, by 11 percent, while deposits, by only 2 percent. The bank's total assets went up by 6 percent, to EUR 2.9 billion.
