Hotel rooms in Bucharest, among cheapest, study finds
The average room price of Bucharest hotels ranks 22nd in a top of 30 cities based on hotel prices, according to hotel.info, which has put together the top. The average price of a hotel room in Bucharest went up by 3 percent in July, to EUR 81.36, compared to the same month of last year. Compared to June 2008, the room price dropped by 19.4 percent.
Bucharst came immediately after Rome (EUR 89.17), Istanbul (EUR 88.02) and Mexico City (EUR 86.9). The cheapest cities for hotel rooms were Berlin (EUR 78.92), Warsaw (EUR 78.44) and Madrid (EUR 75).
The highest average hotel room price was in New York – EUR 194.49, London – EUR 146.6 and Stockholm – EUR 145.3.
