National History Museum in Bucharest starts selling face masks inspired by its collection

24 August 2020

Visitors of the National Museum of Romanian History in Bucharest can now buy unique face masks from the museum's gift shop.

The museum sells single and double-layer cloth masks inspired by its collection, for RON 11 and RON 15, local Agerpres reported.

Visitors can choose between three types of masks: one featuring the Geto-Dacian Peretu Helmet with apotropaic eyes, one showing a metope from Trajan's Column, and one combining an image of the Postal Services Palace with a picture of the Hamangia Thinker.

The three types of masks inspired by the MNIR collection can be seen on the museum's Facebook page.

Wearing a mask is mandatory in indoor public public spaces in Romania, but also in outdoor public spaces (such as farmers' markets or bus stations), at certain hours set by each county.
