Romanian-German JV pours EUR 6.5 million in construction materials plants

Daw Benta, the producer of paint, lacquers and other construction materials owned by Romanian entrepreneur Aurel Benta and German company Daw, is investing EUR 6.5 million in two new factories to produce polystyrene and adhesives.

The construction works started in August last year, with the new factories scheduled to begin production in the second half of 2019, according to Ziarul Financiar. With this investment, the company doubles its production capacity under the Caparol brand.

The company manufactures and sells various kinds of washable interior and exterior paints, primers, plasters, wallpaper, and decorative products.

Daw Benta's business grew by 11% in 2018, reaching around RON 117 million (EUR 25 million).
