IBM opens fourth business services center in Romania

IBM Romania will open in Cluj-Napoca its fourth business service center in the country, joining those in Bucharest, Brasov and Timisoara.

The office, to be opened in July, will be located in Liberty Technology Park.

The company recorded a turnover of EUR 177.6 million last year, up 9.4% year-on-year. Its net profit rose by 10.9% year-on-year to EUR 16.4 million.

IBM Romania had debts of EUR 23 million at the end of last year, down from EUR 24.3 million in 2015. The average number of employees increased by 22.1% last year to 2,653.

Liberty Technology Park Cluj was inaugurated in 2013, following an investment of over EUR 15 million from Fribourg Capital, owned by investor Ion Sturza. The technology park is fully occupied, and the majority of the residents are IT companies.
