Luxury resort in Danube Delta sees higher turnover

Green Village resort in Danube Delta, owned by Romanian investor Dragos Anastasiu, recorded a EUR 2 million turnover in the first nine months of this year, up 18% year-on-year.

The number of tourists visiting the resort went up by 11%, reaching 9,800 between April and September. Moreover, the number of overnight stays at Green Village exceeded 31,340 during this period, up 11% year-on-year.

Most of the tourists were from Romania, Germany, US and Austria. The resort’s occupancy rate reached 71% in the first three quarters of this year.

Green Village targets a EUR 2.2 million turnover for this year, up 22% over 2016. The resort’s owner has invested EUR 350,000 this year in improving the services and aims to increase its turnover by 15% next year.

Green Village is located in Sfantu Gheorghe, where one of the Danube’s arms meets the Black Sea.
