Georgia-Poland flight diverted to Bucharest airport due to bomb threat

A Wizz Air plane flying on the Kutaisi (Georgia) – Warsaw (Poland) route made an emergency landing at the Otopeni Airport near Bucharest on Thursday, October 25, due to a bomb threat.

After the plane was parked in an isolated area, all passengers were taken to the boarding area of the terminal. The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) was in charge of the specific procedures in such cases, scanning the luggage and the aircraft, local News.ro reported.

No suspicious package was found and the plane took off from the Otopeni Airport a few hours later, continuing its flight to Warsaw.
