George Argentopoulos takes over helm of Baneasa Shopping City from Ali Ergun Ergen

Ali Ergun Ergen will no longer be CEO of Baneasa Shopping City north of Bucharest, but will stay onboard as a consultant. George Argentopoulos (in picture) will replace him as CEO of the company at the beginning of next year.

Before joining Baneasa Developments, a business controlled by Romanian businessman Gabriel Popoviciu, Argentopoulos worked with telecom company Romtelecom. He is one of the founders of The Practice Group and shareholder in two other companies, Provoli Imobiliare and Synthesis.

Ali Ergun Ergen has been working with Baneasa for the last six years. He came to Romania in 2000, when he run Bucuresti Mall, the first modern shopping center in Romania. He joined Baneasa after opening the second shopping center for Anchor Group – Plaza Romania.
