Natural gas consumption in Romania totalled 75.8 million MWh in the first seven months of 2014, down 4.16% year-on-year, according to a report of the National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE), cited by local Agerpres. In the same period in 2013, consumption stood at some 79.1 million MWh.

Internal production of natural gas that goes to consumption represented in July 93.88% of total sources. Romania’s top two producers, namely Romgaz and OMV Petrom, covered 96.49% of these sources.
