Investment fund Warburg Pincus, the Hungarian Post and the Austrian Post are on the short list of companies interested in acquiring Urgent Cargus, according to market sources cited by Ziarul Financiar. The deal is estimated at EUR 150-170 million.

Urgent Cargus is the second largest company in the local courier market. The investment fund Abris Capital Partners has built the company through several acquisitions concluded since 2012. It estimates a EUR 85 million turnover for this year.

Abris Capital Partners has been trying to sell the courier company since last year. Urgent Cargus reached a EUR 70 million turnover in 2016. It currently operates 72 centers and warehouses and has a fleet of 2,600 vehicles.
