European Parliament's regional development commission delegation visits Romania

A delegation of the European Parliament's Regional Development Commission is visiting Romania from November 3 until November 5 for an on-site assessment of the use of structural funds. The delegation will also visit project sites in Giurgiu, Arad and Timisoara.

The delegation visited the southern Danube River port town of Giurgiu on Wednesday and will travel to Arad, in Western Romania on Thursday to examine a project on the rehabilitation of the city's historical centre and a road infrastructure project as part of the 4th European corridor.

The delegation is made up from Lambert van Nistelrooij (EPP-CD, the Netherlands- in picture), Sophie Auconie (EPP-CD, France), Joachim Zeller (EPP-CD, Germany), Iosif Matula (EPP-CD, Romania), Victor Bostinaru (S&D, Romania), Ramona Manescu (ALDE, Romania), Riikka Manner (ALDE, Finland), Michael Theurer (ALDE, Germany), Viorica Dancila (S&D, Romania) and Iuliu Winkler (EPP-CD, Romania).
