Enel Green Power appoints Lazzeri to lead Romanian subsidiary

Italian utilities company Enel has appointed Francesco Lazzeri head of Enel Green Power Romania, replacing Carlo Pignoloni, who ended his three-year mandate.

Lazzeri has been working with Enel since 2000. He previously led the Maintenance Services department for Enel Power Italy's geothermal division. Lazzeri studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pisa, Italy.

Enel Green Power plans to add a further 180 MW to its Romanian wind power network, taking its total installed capacity to some 450 MW. Enel Green Power invested EUR 330 million last year in wind farms in Romania, well up from the EUR 75 million in 2010. Its total installed capacity in the country will rise to 292 MW, after the completion of the wind farm in Moldova Noua.
