EBRD grants EUR 25 mln for acquisition of 105 buses in Brasov

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has financed with EUR 25 million the acquisition of 105 new buses in Brasov.

The Brasov public transport company RATBv will be the loan’s beneficiary.

“The bank will provide technical assistance services to help the company increase its efficiency and strengthen the institutional and regulatory framework for public transport,” according to EBRD representatives.

The consultancy will include the development of a traffic study and a long-term transport plan as well as the establishment of performance parameters.

The loan to RATBv is part of the EBRD Program for Sustainable Mobility and Access to Road Transport, a program that finances the improvement of public transport infrastructure and services in Romania.
