DreamHack Bucharest returns with new edition and total prizes of USD 100,000

A new edition of DreamHack will take place in Bucharest this autumn.

The eSports competition will be organized at Sala Polivalenta, between September 16 and September 18, and the tickets are already on sale on shop.computergames.ro.

The DreamHack ZOWIE Open 2016 tournament will bring eight of the world’s best CS:GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) teams to Bucharest, offering total prizes of USD 100,000.

This year’s edition of the event will include several other major competitions, one of them being the Hearthstone tournament. There will also be several areas dedicated to special activities such as the Streaming Area, the Arena PGL, the PGL Adventure, the Secret Shop and the Cosplay contest.

PGL has been organizing DreamHack in Romania since 2012. The event’s sixth edition organized in Cluj-Napoca last year hosted a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Major tournament, making Romania the fourth country that organizes this competition. The other three are Germany, Sweden, and Poland.
