For most cultures known as Iassy, the main urban center in Nord-Eastern Romania, a former capital of Moldavia and later of Romania, this is today’s third largest city in Romania and the second largest university and cultural center.

Romania-insider.com has discovered two new Romanian bands you might want to check out. They are part of a new generation of young local artists who come up with songs and sounds of foreign inspiration– and yes, their songs are mostly in English (so far).

Laurent Piveteau is a true representative of the group of young French people doing business in Romania. He speaks fluent Romanian and has started his own business in Romania, soon after setting up his residence here. Together with a couple of partners, Laurent started Franco-Jobs.com, a human resources website dedicated to the French community in Romania, and is already working on expanding the project... to France.

The Rediscover Sinaia Association organizes a week-end trip to Sinaia between October 22 and 24. Attendants will learn how to prepare pickles using a local recipe on Saturday, followed by a festive dinner. On Sunday, a two-hour Sinaia tour will follow, featuring visits to the old homes of noblemen families in Sinaia. Creative workshops will be organized for children.
