City Hall plans separate bus and taxi lanes for downtown

Getting around in Bucharest might get easier if the City Hall's project for creating special lane for public transportation gets the go ahead. The City Hall is working on a project which includes special lanes for public transport vehicles downtown Bucharest and the creation of one-way streets. The project should take one year to implement. The system is similar to the one in London, with separate bus and taxi lanes. The project is currently in the feasability study phase for implementing it downtown Bucharest and choosing the boulevards where special lanes can be created, according to Ion Dediu, head of the transport unit within the Bucharest City Hall.
