Carrefour goes back in time with popular products from Romania’s Communist past

Romanians can go back in time for a week, when they will be able to buy products that were popular in the country’s Communist past. French retailer Carrefour will sell famous Romanian historic brands between May 1 and 7, within a program called „Romania – Days of Old’ (Romania de Altadata).

The retailer will promote the Pegas bikes, the Cheia soap, the Eugenia biscuit, and the Indesit washing machines, Albalact milk, Cristal toothpaste, Nivea creams, among others. Music from the 80s, greeters dressed disco style, and playground areas for childhood games like hopscotch or drawings on the sidewalks are also part of Carrefour’s initiative, across all its hypermarkets in Romania.
