Bucharest will host the 2018 Senior European Wrestling Championship, Razvan Pircalabu, the president of the Romanian Wrestling Federation, announced on his Facebook page.

“The capital of wrestling will be in Romania next year!,” Pircalabu wrote in his Facebook post.

He also announced that he was elected member of the United World Wrestling Europe (UWW) Europe's executive office.

Razvan Pircalabu obtained the membership of the European federation with 25 votes, reports local Agerpres. He will also occupy the federation’s vice-president seat, by rotation. His mandate will be valid for the next four years.

Pircalabu was elected president of the Romanian Wrestling Federation in 2013, and re-elected in this position in January this year.
