Bucharest General Council approves project for free Wi-Fi in the city

Bucharest’s General Council approved in principle the implementation of a project to offer free Wi-Fi internet in the city.

However, the decision doesn’t mention how the project will be implemented and what are the costs. It only states that this project aims to fulfill the objectives the Government included in the national strategy for Romania’s Digital Agenda 2020, News.ro reported.

According to the municipality, the project aims to provide citizens and organizations with fast access to information and electronic public services and to improve internet access and internet use by higher broadband coverage.
