Cluj-based IT firm Onyx Beacon is among the suppliers of Lockheed Martin, a US company specialized in global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies, which manufactures the F-16 and F-35 fighters.

The Cluj firm produces devices that help manage even 40 times faster the goods the US group has in two warehouses in Orlando, Florida, reports local News.ro.

These devices are called beacons. Mouse-sized and using the Bluetooth technology, they can send on the phone or tablet information about the location of the object on which the beacon is mounted. The solution developed by Onyx can be applied in many fields, from tourism to marketing.

The US group Lockheed Martin produced the 12 second-hand F-16 fighters Romania acquired with over EUR 630 million.
