Romanian shepherds clash with gendarmes during protest over sheep and goat export ban
Thousands of shepherds and farmers met in Bucharest on Tuesday, September 15, in front of the Romanian government headquarters, to protest the blocking of sheep and goat exports, the slaughtering of animals, and unpaid compensation. The protest turned violent, and gendarmes used tear gas to disperse the crowds.
