More than 1,300 runners have signed up for this year’s edition of Brasov Marathon – Powered by TOTAL Romania, the number being 40% higher than last year’s.

The marathon will take place in Brasov mountain resort in central Romania this Saturday, April 22. Brasov Marathon includes four competitions, namely marathon, half marathon, cross, and children’s race.

The marathon will start at 08:00 from Sfatului Square in downtown Brasov. The participants will run on the alley near Tampa, on forest roads to Postavaru Peak, through Poiana Brasov, and then back to Sfatului Square. The half marathon will start at 09:00, the cross race will begin at 09:30, and the children’s race will start at 14:00.

Meanwhile, Bucharest Running Club has announced the date for this year’s Bucharest Marathon, one of the biggest such events in Romania. The event, which brought together some 14,000 runners from 60 countries last year, will take place on October 14-15, and will start from Constitutiei Square.
