Wizz Air to introduce two new routes from Bucharest this December

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will introduce two new routes from Bucharest this December, to Hannover in Germany and Billund in Denmark, the company has announced.

The airline will operate the new flights starting mid-December, twice a week. The flights to Hannover will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting December 13, while those to Billund on Mondays and Fridays from December 16.

Tickets for the new routes are already available on the airline’s website, for prices that start from RON 109 (some EUR 25). With these new destinations, Wizz Air will operate 45 routes to 18 countries from Bucharest.

The company will increase its local fleet to 20 aircraft by end-2016, and will operate from a total of nine airports. The airline currently operates 118 routes to 16 countries from local airports.

The low cost operator inaugurated a new operational base in Iasi, eastern Romania, at the beginning of July.
