Wizz Air launches two new flights from Bucharest

24 May 2016

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air started operating two new flights from Bucharest’s Henri Coanda Airport: one to Portuguese capital Lisbon and another one to Birmingham in the UK. The airline now has a total of 43 routes to 17 countries from the Bucharest airport.

Both flights will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Tickets’ prices start at RON 129 (some EUR 28) and can be booked on the airline’s website.

The new flights were launched on May 22.

Wizz Air announced last week that it would add a new aircraft to its base in Bucharest. The new plane, Airbus A321, will help Wizz Air open a new route, from Bucharest to Tenerife, and increase the frequency of flights on other routes.
