06 April 2016

Romania is facing some very hot days this week, the temperatures being more like the ones specific for early-June, according to data from meteorologists.

Temperatures were expected to go up to 29 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and even 30 degrees Celsius on Thursday, especially in the south (Bucharest included). There will be some 25 degrees Celsius in Moldova, Maramures, and Transylvania regions.

Moreover, the temperatures will remain high during the night, at around 20 degrees Celsius, which is more common in tropical climates, according to meteorologist Gabriela Banica, cited by local Mediafax.

The weather will start to cool on Friday, meteorologists forecasting up to 25 degrees Celsius in the north-west and 21-22 degrees Celsius in the south. However, these values are higher than the regular ones for this period, of between 12 and 19 degrees.

Some summer rain showers are expected during the weekend.
