Septimiu Postelnicu took over as the head of Retail Division at UniCredit Bank Romania starting this month. He plans to increase the bank’s number of retail customers to one million in the medium term.

Postelnicu has worked in management in the financial sector for more than 18 years. Between 2004 and 2006 he was Managing Director of HVB Leasing Romania. He was then CEO at UniCredit Leasing Corporation IFN between 2006 and 2008.

His next position was Head of Global Banking Services CEE Leasing Division at UniCredit Leasing SPA for over one year, between 2008 and 2009. Previous to the current office, Postelnicu was Executive VicePresident Global Banking Services at UniCredit Bank Romania for over six years.

Postelnicu’s goal is to transform UniCredit Bank Romania into a top player in the digital retail banking.
