The long – awaited underground car park downtown Bucharest, in its Universitate area, was opened today (Thursday, November 15), following EUR 12 million investments. This is the first car park built under public – private partnership in Bucharest.
The car park is operated by Belgian Interparking, which covered the investment costs. Roland Cracco, the Interparking representative, said the company will work on other car parks in Bucharest, under public – private partnerships.
The car park has 425 places and the average price per hour will be of some EUR 0.38. One of the entries is located on Academiei St., near the History Museum, and another one on Toma Caragiu St.
Other car parks downtown Bucharest are planned, with due dates in 2013 and 2015.
