28 June 2016

Three local investors have inaugurated a new mineral water factory in Ocna de Fier, Caras-Severin county. The project has required a EUR 5 million investment, reports local Profit.ro.

The plant started its operations earlier this month and has a capacity of EUR 2 million bottles per month.

About 80% of the production is exported and the Romanian company already has distribution contracts in Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, Austria as well as in several Asian countries, including China. In Romania, the mineral water, which is called AUR'A, will be sold to restaurants and hotels.

“We position ourselves as a top brand,” said company representatives.

“AUR'A can be compared to any mineral water in the premium and luxury segment in the world.”

Aur’a Mineral Water, the company that owns the factory, has three shareholders, namely Horatiu Rada, Eleodor Coptil and Mihai Petrachioiu.
