The “Spice Girls of classical music” come to Romania for concert in June

Australian/British string quartet Bond, also known as the “Spice Girls of classical music” will come to Romania for a show on June 25, at the Palace Hall (Sala Palatului).

Bond is one of the best-selling string quartets of all time. They have sold over 4 million records since their launch, in 2000.

The four members of the band are Tania Davis (violin), Eos Chater (violin), Elspeth Hanson (viola) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello).

Bond have become famous for their reinterpretations of some classical music masterpieces by Vivaldi and Beethoven, in a pop style. Their most recent album features reinterpretations of some famous movie soundtracks, such as “Jai Ho”, a huge hit from the film Slumdog Millionaire and "Pump It", a version of the Dick Dale and His Del Tones' hit song "Miserlou", featured in the opening credits of Pulp Fiction.

Tickets for the Bond concert in Bucharest are selling online, on vreaubilet.ro, and at the VreauBilet.ro stall in Unirea Shopping Center.
