Romanian tennis ace Simona Halep is the newest brand ambassador of car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz in Romania, the company announced.

“We are pleased to announce the long-term partnership with Simona Halep under the Mercedes-AMG umbrella in Romania. Through this partnership, founded on common values such as sportsmanship and top performance, Simona is the newest ambassador for Mercedes-Benz in Romania, joining the series of local personalities aligned with the brand’s values: Andreea Esca, Camelia Potec, Andi Moisescu, and Catalin Stefanescu,” reads a post on Mercedes-Benz Romania’s Facebook page.

Simona Halep is the best-ranked Romanian women's tennis player although she has just lost one place in the WTA ranking, currently being at number five, with 5,022 points.

The ranking is led by German Angelique Kerber, who is followed by American Serena Williams, Czech Republic’s Karolina Pliskova, and Slovakia’s Dominika Cibulkova.

Romanian tennis ace Simona Halep is the newest brand ambassador of car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz in Romania, the company announced.
