21 October 2016

A teenager called the 112 emergency line on Friday to announce that a bomb had been placed at the Military Hospital in Bucharest. Fortunately, following the pyrotechnics’ checks at the hospital, the bomb threat turned out to be a false one.

The teenager made the call at around 12:30, reports local Mediafax. He hung up the phone right after announcing the bomb’s presence in the hospital, and then the authorities couldn’t reach him anymore.

However, a pyrotechnics team was sent to the Military Hospital to check the information. Access to the hospital unit was limited during the investigation, but the authorities decided not to evacuate it. The alert turned out to be false.
