Tea house opens at Romania’s Bran Castle this fall

05 September 2016

A tea house will be opened at Romania’s Bran Castle (also known as Dracula’s Castle) this fall, according to Bogdana Balmus, the castle’s PR manager.

Moreover, a multimedia project unique in the tourism market in South East Europe is also on the cards for the castle, and will most likely be launched next year.

“The Tea House will be opened this fall. We’re still waiting for some operational clearances and, once the file is closed, we’ll inaugurate the Tea House,” Balmus told local News.ro.

The Regina Maria Tea House will host several private events, but will also give visitors the chance to try some unique food from the area. The tea house dates from 1920 and is located in the castle’s park.

Bran Castle is the most well known Romanian castle, mostly due to its connection with historical ruler Vlad Tepes, also known as Dracula. Located near Bran in Transylvania, the castle’s history and stories attract increasingly more tourists every year.
