The St. Patrick’s Day Ball is coming up at the JW Marriott, Bucharest. Starting 19:30 on Friday, March 15, this year’s ball is the first of a series of events celebrating all things Irish this year, marking both St Patrick’s Day and the Irish EU Presidency.
There will be plenty of music and dancing at the ball. Felicia Filip & Guests – rock and classical fusion, traditional Irish and Romanian folk music with Irish singer Aoife Scott and Romanian Ducu Bertzi, as well an Irish tribute band, presumably playing a fair few U2 covers. Feet a flying with Anne Marie Cunningham and the Irish Way Dancers & Coras, with a performance specially choreographed for the ball.
The menu includes Champagne, Irish oysters and slow cooked beef fillet, as well as plenty Irish whiskey to raise spirits well into the night.
Dress code is black tie or traditional Irish costume and tickets cost EUR 90 for members of the Ireland Romania Network or EUR 105 for non-members. Information by email at email@example.com.
