Special show in New York brings together seven plays written by Romanian Matei Visniec

Seven plays written by Romanian Matei Visniec will be presented for the first time in New York this April.

The show, which brings together all seven plays, is called We Should Have Seen the Lights Already and will take place at the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York on April 15 and April 22, at 19:00. All plays will be in English.

The program includes Man With the Horse, Voices in the Darkness II, The Last Godot, Voices in the Darkness I, Man with the Circle, Voices in the Darkness III, and Pockets Full of Bread.

The show is produced by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York & Piper Theatre Productions and directed by J. K. Musser. Its stars are Aaron Novak and Vasile Flutur. The performance will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes, without intermission.

Matei Visniec is a Romanian-born playwright, poet and journalist living in France. He was born in 1956 in Radauti, Suceava county, Romania.

Visniec graduated from the History and Philosophy Faculty of the University in Bucharest. After the fall of Communism, he got numerous awards in both Romania and France, his plays being performed on stages in 20 countries. He is internationally known especially for his writings in French.
