The value of share trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange was about 1% higher in the first four months of the year compared to the same period in 2015.

The stock transactions reached EUR 637.2 million, in this period, after having dropped by 17% in the first quarter, to EUR 384.4 million.

In April, the total value of deals on the Bucharest Stock Exchange amounted to over EUR 253.7 million, mainly due to Fondul Proprietatea’s sale of a 5.85% stake in gas producer Romgaz, via an accelerated book building offer. The deal brought Fondul Proprietatea over EUR 121 million.

The AeRO market, the equity segment of BVB's alternative trading system, saw deals of EUR 17.3 million in the first four months of the year.
