Romania’s trade goes up inside EU, decreases outside EU

Romania’s total trade inside the European Union exceeded EUR 21.28 billion in the first quarter of the year, up by 9% compared to the same period last year. The exports grew by 9.6% to EUR 9.9 billion, whereas the imports increased by 8.5% to EUR 11.3 billion.

The negative balance of trade went up by 1.3% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2015, reaching EUR 1.4 billion, reports local Agerpres.

The total trade outside the EU totaled EUR 6.8 billion in the first three months of the year, down 3.5% year-on-year.  Exports amounted to EUR 3.4 billion, down by 6%, whereas imports reached EUR 3.4 billion, down 0.2%.
