Romania’s trade deficit with China exceeds EUR 2.3 bln

Romania recorded its highest trade deficit with China last year, namely over EUR 2.36 billion, according to the Economy Ministry.

Romania’s second highest trade deficit was with Hungary. It amounted to over EUR 2 billion. The deficit with Germany totaled EUR 1.7 billion.

Romania had a trade deficit of almost EUR 1.6 billion with Poland and EUR 1.1 billion with the Netherlands. It also recorded a trade deficit with Austria, Russia, Slovakia, Belgium, and Czech Republic.

Romania recorded a trade surplus with Great Britain, amounting to EUR 814.9 million. The trade surplus with France totaled EUR 196.6 million.

Romania also had a trade surplus with the US, Egypt, Norway, Moldova, and Saudi Arabia.

Romania had a total trade deficit of EUR 8.37 billion in 2015.
