Romania's Government gives EUR 5 mln to fight urban poverty
The European Funds Ministry has allocated EUR 5 million for projects aimed at fighting poverty and social exclusion in cities.
Local institutions, in partnerships with NGOs can apply for the grants. The measures will be implemented in urban areas with over 20,000 inhabitants, characterized by marginalization, low education levels, and high unemployment rates.
The program is part of the Government’s Anti-Poverty Package.
