Romania's Financial Supervisory Authority sets up call center

Romania’s Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) has opened a call center that offers information about the areas covered by the institution, namely insurance, private pensions, and capital market.

ASF hasn’t mentioned the value of the investment. The institution, which was founded in 2013, regulates and supervises the insurance, private pension, and capital market sectors.

The Financial Supervisory Authority posted revenues of EUR 35.3 million last year, down by 5.2% compared to 2014, and total expenses of EUR 27 million. The budget surplus of EUR 8.2 million will be used for future investments.

ASF recorded the lowest annual expenditure since its founding. The institution is funded entirely from extra-budgetary funds.
