Romania's financial regulator plans stress test for investment funds

27 April 2016

Romania’s Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) will carry out a stress test involving 74 open investment funds and 29 closed investment funds.

The test aims to improve the funds’ capacity to manage their liquidities and the investment risks. It’s not a pass/fail test, according to ASF.

The exam will also test the funds’ capacity to face high values of redemptions on the short term, under conditions of low liquidity and increasing volatility on the financial markets.
