Romanians are among the most satisfied citizens of their country's membership to the EU, having great confidence in the European Parliament, according to the April Eurobarometer.

Romanians also have high expectation from the EU: 82% of the respondents want the EU to engage more in fighting unemployment, 6 percentage points over the EU average. Interviewees also consider that the EU should help agriculture more.

About 82% of them believe that the EU should intervene more in the anti-terrorism fight, a percentage similar to the EU average. As for migration, 75% of Romanians consider that the EU should step in more, compared to the EU average of 74%.

However, only 39% of the interviewed believe that the fight against terrorist groups should be a priority of the EU. Romania ranked 19th in the EU at this chapter.
